Seaside Getaways: Seaside Getaways

These guys handle alot of house rentals on Hunting and Harbour Islands, as well as Fripp.
I have used them 3 times now to rent 40 Cabin Road, a house on the beach on Hunting Island. This past week we arrived on the night that Hurricane Irene was sweeping up the east coast, and we got some high tides that came under the house and undermined the foundations, so maybe this house wont be available anymore, but they immediately put us up in a very nice house on Harbour Island for our remaining 3 nights----68 N Harbour Rd is a lovely 4 bedroom 3 bath house with 2 masters and a nice screened deck.
I have nothing but good things to say about the folks at SG----service with a smile and definitely worth the time and money for a great vacation on the South Carolina coast----

40 Cabin Road and more: House Rental on Hunting Island

A good friend turned me onto this house on Hunting Island 2 years ago, and I love the peaceful quiet---right on the beach close to the northern end. The island has been losing beach in this area for the last 3-4 years and so the inevitability of this house being swept into the ocean is clear....Some of the ones just north of this house have already been washed away. This house has 2 bedrooms and one bath, in-between, a small kitchen with a nice view window, a large main room and a deck with hammock and picnic table and chairs. The beach is right there, with lots of bleached tree parts sticking out of the sand---very picturesque! (trying to find pics!) There are great places to buy fresh fish locally, and a grocery store not far on the mainland. Hunting Island State Park is right there as well, with trails and a Lighthouse to explore. A really good, low-country vacation place, highly recommended before it washes away!

Got here friday night that Irene (hurricane) was sweeping up I-95.....we got the dregs but the house may not last another season---the high tide was under the house, banging dead trees and such around all night-----Seaside Getaways immediately put us up in a beachfront house on Harbour Island just next door for the remaining 3 nights.....

Peace and quiet
