Great Myrtle Beach Condo Rental 720

I would recommend this condo very highly. Great rates, lots of amenities and beautiful views from the balcony. We stayed in unit 720

Unique Quality: $ pools, 5 whirlpools, Flip FLops oceanfront Bar and Grill with live music in summer around oceanfront pool. Close to everything

    Directions: South Ocean Blvd.

  • Great Hotel

We moved from Crown Reef (very bad) to Blue water. We were on the 15th floor, there are only 5 rooms up there, and it was great. They have a band playing daily starting around noon, and poolside bars around the entire pool area. There is also a restaraunt in the hotel. THey have 3 large outdoor pools, 1 kiddie pool, 1 hottub outside and a hottub inside as well as an indoor pool. There are bathroom facilities, kept extremely clean, next to the pools. IT was great!!! You park across the street BUT other than that it was great. If you want a nice private owner room call the office located inside the Wind Surfer hotel. They have rooms at Blue water and at The Palace. They are great. I will stay there next year and years to come.

We stayed at the Blue Water Resort at Myrtle Beach. We booked well in advance and was promised an excetutive suite on the 10th floor. When we arrived were given a so called suite on the 3rd floor----the one we had booked for was occupied. Room was dingy, dirty, and on our first night had to kill some kind of huge bug that was crawling around---we pulled out the sofa bed to finally find it and kill it---welll you shoulf have seen the dirt under their-[------The restaurant was absolutelt horrible--never used the pools---they did not seem very clean---but the beach was lovely---will not stay their again. les and B renda

Great value for the price

The Bluewater Resort Villas are across the street from the main tower but still have a mostly unobstructed view of the ocean. The price was a steal. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was sparkling and refreshing. The outside of the building shows its age but the inside is the most important thing anyway. Will definitely consider staying there again.

loved it will stay again

We just returned home from the Bluewater Resort. We loved it. It was very nice. The stafff were very nice and helpful. We stayed on the the 8th floor in a 2 bedrrom condo. We had orginally made reservations at the Palace and when we arrived to check in the room there was nasty. We went down the street to The Bluewater Resort and they were very helpful and found us the type of room we needed. They let us look at it before we accepted it. We really had a great stay. I hope you will stay there too.

Absolutely disgusting!!!

by A TripAdvisor Member

My husband and I recently stayed at the Blue Water Resort in Room 616 and were very disappointed. We complained to the manager and even e-mailed the owner when we returned home, however have gotten no satisfaction as of yet, therefore we want to let everyone know what we found while there.

The worse thing that we encountered was the fact that my 14-year-old daughter dropped something behind the bed and went to pick it up where she found a USED CONDOM. This is absolutely unsanitary and disgusting. This tells you what kind of cleaning job they did before we got there.

The balcony had VOMIT all over it that had not been cleaned off, therefore we could not really enjoy the ocean front view advertised because we had no way of cleaning it off.

There were no blinds at the balcony door. We found them all broken up and stuck in the closet. We had to put a towel up at night.

The ice maker was running ice out all over the freezer. We had to turn it off and get our ice from the ice machine in the hall so that it would not run over. There was nothing there to catch it.

Every dish in the place was dirty upon our arrival. We had to wash all the dishes and place foil in the dirty cabinets. They were full of papers and junk.

We found an empty bottle of alcohol in one of the drawers which indicated they had not even wiped those out.

The vacuum had to be reran because there was dirt all around the edges and in the corners of the room.

The microwave was dirty.

The oven was filthy which we opted not to clean on our vacation.

The tub was so dirty that I could not get it clean even with scrubbing.

We were left no toilet paper and had to walk a few blocks down to the Wave Rider to get some twice.

When talking to the manager, he said, "I am sorry. I will let the owners know." It turns out that he is the owner and did NOTHING ABOUT ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS.

He only said the owners had done a lot of work on that room. I am sure they had. I could tell by all of the pieces of things sitting on top of the refrigerator and the pieces of doors underneath the beds that had not been removed. I think they need to concentrate on cleaning the place up before renting it out to people.

They advertise that they are making lodging satisfaction a priorty, yet they do not offer any compensation to us and they do not even respond to my e-mails.

Hopefully no one else will go through this. They also charge more for this condo than the owners of the other rooms at Blue Water. We checked this out with the front desk. If you are going to stay at the Blue Water, go through the Blue Water not Rooms for Rent. At least you will get maid service every day and for a cheaper price.

I am still going to try to file a complaint with someone.

I loved the Bluewater Resort. Yes, it is true that some of the owners don't keep up on their rooms. However, the front desk clerks went out of their way to explain how the rooms are rented. The best get rented first. People don't seem to understand that this is a condo, not an actual hotel. The help were all very friendly and helpful. Would I go bet! In fact I just bought one of the condo's in the Resort and look forward to visiting with my family for years to come.

Bluewater lacks service and class it once had

by A TripAdvisor Member

Beware of Bluewater Resort excessive charges for phone calls. I stayed at the Bluewater Resort on Sept 6th through the 10th of September. We stayed in the most expensive room ,the 2 bedroom condo and we arrived in town early when we asked the clerk a thin dark haired young man in this late 20 if there was any possibility of checking in sooner since we had driven for hours and were extremly tired. He was very very rude and stated that the check in time was 3p.m. but to check back in an hour or so to see if we could get in at 1p.m. When we did he just kept reciting the rule of 3p.m. check in time. Finally when he became weary of looking at the 4 of us sitting in his lobby he finally gave us the electronic key and then he did not tell us the room number. To say he was rude does not even encompass his attitude. I felt like i was being punished when all i was asking for was service. I have spent many vacations at the Bluewateeer resort and am sad to say that the once classy hotel has declined to a very low level. It was once a family atmosphere and now all i can say is do not look at the parking lot that is next door because it is xxxrated for gay pickup activity. The really amazing part is that the vacation just keeps on giving. Today i got a phone bill which included a phone call placed from my hotel phone which was a collect call to my home the bill was for a 12 minute collect call and now i am ripped off for a whopping $47.56 . I am just stuck paying for this and when i called the Bluewater to complain i was told i should talk to the day manager and since i was calling ld they gave me a toll free number to call and the manager of course did not answer my call. Myrtle Beach is a beautiful place and i have been going there since 1987 but i will never stay at Bluewater again. The desk clerks and the manager need a course in service . I work in a prison as a Psych Nurse and the inmates receive better service incarcerated than i did as a paying hotel customer.

Looking for appropriate hotel

by kyle265

I am planning a Myrtle Beach trip and my travelling group has decided they want a hotel on the "strip" as opposed to on the beach.

I have not been to MB in many years and frankly do not know where the strip is. Where is the strip and any clean & inexpensive hotels on the strip for twenty-somethings looking to get into "twenty-something fun"??

Thank you very much and look forward to your responses. :) :)

I've been to Myrtle Beach a few times and I don't know what the strip could be. There's really one main street that runs thru Myrtle and most of the places are ocean front, the other side of the street are stores, miniature golf courses and restaurants. I usually stay in North Myrtle in a condo but if I was 20 yrs younger I'd be at the Breakers, it's clean, nice, centrally located and no more expensive than everywhere else. Second choice would be Blue Water Resort. Hope this helps.

The strip in Myrtle Beach is the main street running through the town. There is absolutely no way you can miss it. Most of the touristy stuff is on this street. As for hotels there are tons to stay in. A lot are really expensive because they cater to families, but there should be no problem finding an inexpensive place to stay. And since it is on the strip there will be no problem in finding things for "twenty somethings" to do. A vast majority of the people who go to Myrtle Beach are young, college- aged people. Everywhere you stay will be full of them.

You can save a lot of money by staying slightly off the strip. The strip tends to be the most expensive place to stay and since myrtle beach is pretty small there really is no point in staying right on the strip unless you want to be able to sit out in front of your hotel and watch the young people cruise down the strip( and there will be hundreds of them). Plus it is hard at night to drive on the strip because of all the people cruising.

Whatever you do have a great time. Myrtle Beach is a lot of fun.
