Fourth Anniversary Nightmare

We thought we were getting an excellent stay for our four year anniversary...stay three nights, get the fourth free via their online booking service! Well, that was misleading. It showed that we would be staying in the actual Caravelle resort. We got stuck in the Caravelle Towers, which was across the street from the actual resort and all the amenities. Way to go, false advertising! Not to mention there were so many fire code violations in our room...sockets not attached to walls, cords hanging out, the stove was older than I was, there was something stuck in the outlet behind the bed so there were no lights at the bed and no alarm clock...and the television was mounted right above the table so no one could sit there. The walls were so thin we could hear EVERYTHING...from housekeeping to people yelling to TVs in other "condos." Then, we called for housekeeping for a major plumbing issue, being told they would "be right up." Here we are, 20 minutes later, and nothing. When they finally did come, it was not an easy fix and they left the door open so all the humidity could come in. The furniture was stained and worn, and the towels and washcloths were old, rough, and full of holes. I will NEVER, EVER stay at this hell hole again. I have stayed at many places in Myrtle Beach in the past 29 years with minimal if any issues. This place makes me never want to come back again.

Unique Quality: View was great...too bad the "balcony" was standing room only.
