I plan to travel to the Myrtle Beach area in September of 2008. How can I get the schedule of ANY professional or college sporting events in the area?
Myrtle Beach is not all that close to major professional or college teams. The largest college is the University of South Carolina which is about 150 miles (2 1/2 hours) away in Columbia, South Carolina. Their website is www.sc.edu. The nearest professional team is in North Carolina. The Carolina Panthers play American football in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their website is www.panthers.com/home.
Coastal Carolina is in Myrtle beach - their football team plays on Sept. 6th and 20th.
The University of SC football games are an experience that EVERY sports fan should experience!!!
They play in Columbia on Spt. 13th, 20th, and 27th. (The game on the 13th is against Georgia, so forget about getting tickets!) Get there early to tailgate! 85,000 of the world's best fans will be there!
Excellent food! You can have your own pasta made in front of you or choose from over 170 items, like crab legs, scallops, steaks, etc. We went around 4:30 which was a good time because by the time we left, there were a ton of people coming in. It is $25 a piece and you can get coupons on their website. It is worth the money!!!!!!! Everything
