a view on the camp site

Unique Quality: next to the tower there was a camp site. it seemed those folks there enjoyed themselves not less than we did. :-) American Campers are fantastic.

    fireworks every night

There are actually condo apartments in this tower, so nobody changes your towels and cleans the room, but who cares? A little kitchen provides opportunity to cook if you feel like. And your stuff can be washed in the launderette downstairs. The best place to stay - first floor, condos overlooking to the pool. You can still enjoy the ocean view and fireworks, but don't have to listen to the beach bar noise, laud music etc. But, well, any place is good :-) however the lifts are not the best there, so the lower the better :-)

Unique Quality: the whole resorts provides a lot for everybody, pools, hot tubs, sauna, lazy river, beach ball field, tennis courts, shops, a restaurant, beach bar, every day activities in case the weather sucks.. and probably much more. of course the biggest attraction is the ocean!

We stayed in a condo located at Myrtle Beach Resort. Very convenient to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants & highways.
A five minute walk to a beautiful beach, warm water, several pools including an indoor/outdoor pool, a huge pool located at the beach and a tiki bar w/entertainment nightly.
Condo was clean, well cared for, well stocked with cooking supplies, bath towels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrella & sand toys.
Has laundry facilities, but bring your own soap, fab softener & plenty of change.
Lots of maintenance personnel cleaning & mowing the grounds.
Secured grounds w/security gate.

Seasonal $35.00 to $200.00 The resort is located on the ocean just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach, but it is secluded from the hustle and bustle (24-hr security). It is loaded with amenities including 6 pools, exercise room, 3 health spas (steam rooms, jacuzzis, and saunas), 6 lighted tennis courts and lots more.

The condos owned and managed by owners tend to be in excellent condition. The Resort has a lot of very nice amenities. We enjoyed our visit.

Bad News~

We were in Myrtle Beach over Memorial Day. When making reservations in January, we were not told that is was Bike Week. Our unit was out of date. Our until was broken into and over $250 was stolen. The pictures on the internet site were very misleading. We would venture to Myrtle Beach, however would never stay at Myrtle Beach resort again!!!

Private Owners

by A TripAdvisor Member

As a private homeowner at Myrtle Beach Resort, we ask that we not be lumped in with various management groups that rent in our resort. Most of the private homeowners who rent themselves, take great pride in the way their individual condos are kept. We personally don't rent our units during the various bike weeks. It wouldn't be fair to our renters who expect a quiet week by the beach. Please don't broad brush the entire resort as a bad place, when you have a problem with a management company. Thanks.

Many reviews are years old. We have stayed here for 3 years and last year was the worst. Our Renaissance Tower unit was dirty. The stove was broken and the dishwasher slid out from under the counter. The MBR mattress had a large urine stain. We called the desk and they said nothing could be done. The tower front door was broken most of the time and the hot tub was body temp. Maybe summer is better but the swimming pool is in "B" building and walking across from the tower in a wet bathing suit is a horrible, cold experience. We will never return to this old, beat up facility again.
