Looking for opinions Crown Reef vs Compass Cove
I have never stayed at Crown Reef, but I spent 4 nights at Compass Cove in April-2006. I had a 2-room ocean front suite. It was nice and clean. They have a great buffet breakfast. Lots of pools, hot tubs, lazy river. The Caribbean is my favorite place to stay. I also have stayed at the Particia Grand-it's nice. Spring maid is nice, but not close enough to the ocean and doesn't have as many pools and ect.. They do have a great breakfast buffet.
Coming from someone who doesn't live near the ocean, wake up early and just watch the sun rise over the water. Being from Michigan, I only get to see the sun poke out from behind trees so this is quite a sight.
The beach was actually quite decent. I just didn't like driving down the strip to our hotel and seeing nothing but bars, adult clubs and tattoo parlors. If you go down to the boardwalk, there are a few places to see, such as Ripley's Believe It or Not museum and Aquarium, several miniature golf locations and kiddie rides on the boardwalk.
