hi im from ireland and theres a group of about ten of us thinking of going to mertyl beach for the summer.im just wondering could someone tell me if this is the kind of place to spend a whole summer,and any additional help or advice in visiting would be very helpful.....thanks!
Are you looking for a fun place to visit and work? Virginia Beach is a happening place and very friendly.
i live in south carolina and i would suggest you not spend an entire summer in myrtle beach. and, it is not the best beach in south carolina, either. but, if you want goofy golf, fast foods, crusing up and down a strip, and a cheesy, heavily touristed beach, then mrytle beach is the one for you. if you want beautiful, check out kiawah island or hilton head. gatorgirl

Myrtle Beach is a common summer getaway for thousands of Americans. It is situated on the heart of the East Coast, and provides perfect summer conditions for any family vacation. It also is home to hundreds of excellent golf courses and restaurants. The busy season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and the place typically becomes overrun with young families toting hordes of children. The best time to visit Myrtle is in Apr/May or Sept/Oct, when the weather is still very nice but the number of tourists is notably reduced.
