With the summer months pack light weight clothes. You will also need personal items. If staying at a resort ask for a kitchenette it saves on food cost if your gonna be there about a week. I like to bring non perishable food from home it’s usually a bit cheaper. I have even brought a cooler of meat and a planed dinner menu for the family, like Chilli one night Spaghetti another and so on. If you don’t plan on cooking you won’t need much for the kitchen other than snacks and something to drink. Don’t forget the sandals of flip-flops and tennis shoes. Bring what personal items you usually use. No need to over bring they have a Wal-Mart and things are priced about like anyplace else. Bring Lots of film, a digital is what I like to use. Don't forget the kids a few beach toys. You can get them much cheaper at home before you leave. We like taking a metal detector. You never know when you might find a diamond ring ;-)

"Popular U.S. vacation spot"

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a nice little beach. This actually was taken in North Myrtle Beach -- a more subdued area that attracts a lot of families.

At the height of the day, this is about what it looked like. Our hotel was smaller so the crowd wasn't as large. Featured in this photo are the lovely ladies of my travel group. I think color was the order of that day. : )

When you get hot, you have to race to the water. On your mark ... get set ... go! (Innertubes optional)

Of course, no beach vacation would ever be complete without attempting a good sand castle or at least a hole. Well ... in our case, we just watched a cute little family dig this hole and couldn't resist the photo op!

When the sunlight is nearly spent, take a moment to enjoy life little moments ... And never miss an opportunity to clean up and show off the tan ... or the burn depending on the circumstances!
