Best Location for the money in Myrtle Beach

Another outstanding vacation at Schooners II. This time there were 5 of us staying in the one bedroom unit and surprisingly the accomodations worked out fine.

Unique Quality: Location, Location, Location... combined with friendly staff and a great clientele of mainly timeshare owners. By the end of the week we were exchanging phone numbers and making plans to rekindle our newfound friendships next year. You don't get that at most places. It was rather sad leaving, not because of the beach but because of the people. btw... each condo having an ocean front balcony really gives you the ultimate ocean vacation experience.

Go Out on the Pier

by engeluna

Spring Maid Pier is nice to go walking on.

It has a little gift shop and a great quick order cafe that has been open for decades!

Check out the retro photos of the pier on the cafe walls to have a blast from the past!

Finding Culture in the Redneck Riviera

"Life in Myrtle Beach"

Myrtle Beach is an odd place to live for someone who loves travel and adventure. It is packed with tourists and traffic in the summertime, and in the winter you swear you see tumbleweed rolling across the empty roads. That being said, there are still times of the year that you can really appreciate, September, October, April, and Early May are definitely the best times to visit.

"Finding Diamonds in the Rough"

While you are surrounded by Calabash Buffets and tacky tourist attractions, you can still find places in Myrtle Beach that make you feel as if you are traveling on an adventure. There is a local vineyard where you can taste wines, many local festivals, and of course the serenity of some of the less populated beaches like those out on Pawley's island.

"The day to day"

All in all, the cost of living is inexpensive, and the true adventurist can find enjoyment in even the most unadventurous destinations.
