Nice lazy river...definitely a better area of Myrtle Beach to stay in.The rooms were really nice and spacious and it was convenient to get to Barefoot Landing.

We just recently returned from a 4 night stay at Beach Cove. We were in a 2 bedroom condo, and it was excellent! It is by far one of the best hotels I have every stayed in at Myrtle Beach, and the location was great! Pools were very cleaned and the heated pool was perfect!
Had a great 3 nights at the beach cove. The beach was wonderfule, the room and facilities were very clean, plenty of parking. There are a lot of stores a few blocks away on route 17, but the local area around the hotel is very quiet. The only complaints are that there are only 2 elevators for all the visitors, and the pools can be crowded at times. Much better than the litchfiled inn, which we stayed at thte same week. Next time I return, it will be at the beach cove!!
We love the Beach Cove. We discovered it some years ago and have enjoyed staying there almost every year since. If you desire a family atmosphere, or just a place that the 2 of you can relax, then this is the hotel for you. It's got a great location, very close to Barefoot Landing and all the shops. All of the rooms are oceanfront with a balcony that you can just sit & listen to the ocean and feel the breeze anytime you want.
There is plenty of parking in the private parking garage. The rooms are very clean & spacious. There's a gift shop, restaurant, ice cream shoppe and game room there as well. There are numerous pools & hot tubs as well as a lazy river. There is also a bar should you choose to enjoy drinks on the deck. The Beach Cove employees are helpful and always keep the pool, facility clean each day. There is truly something for everyone!!!!
We stayed at the Beach Cove mid may and were absolutely thrilled with the stay. We spent a week in one of the two bedroom condos that had everything oceanfront high rise view, full kitchen, laundry among a few. Our room was even right across from an elevator that went straight down to the pool/lazy river area. It wasn't one of the main elevators so we rarely had to wait long. The pool area was really nice, several hot tubs, numerous pools, long long winding river amongst a tropical setting. In may the crowds were low and the weather couldnt be beat. The location of the resort is situated perfect in North Myrtle beach. Right down the road from the property is Barefoot landing which features a huge shopping/entertainment center. All in all our experience was perfect. Highly Reccomend.

Great Place, clean, all ocean front rooms, great pool area and beautiful ocean view. They keep this place spotless!!
We moved to this place after our reservations ran out at the Shore Crest. We just didn't want to leave the area yet, so we checked in here, and loved it.
If we go back next year, we will stay our entire time here.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Beach Cove Resort and overall had a very satisfactory experience. The room was nicely decorated, well-equipped, and exceptionally clean. Paint, carpet, curtains, etc. seemed new & clean. Location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. We could see the Barefoot Landing shopping & entertainment complex from our balcony. Another plus for the location is that south of the hotel is a nice residential section making for a less crowded beach just steps away. Front desk personnel & staff were professional and polite. There's a snack bar beside the pool that serves decent burgers and dogs, etc. There's also a full-scale restaurant inside the hotel but it's only open for breakfast & dinner, no lunch, which we found a little strange. Although we didn't use the exercise room we stepped in for a look and found it to be pretty nice.
Of course, no hotel is without it's weak points. Our major complaint with Beach Cove is the elevator situation. Only two small elevators per tower means long waits and close quarters. Quite frustrating at times & awkward being packed in so closely. Several guests were grumbling about it. We also felt the indoor pool was too small and there weren't enough saunas. I checked the saunas regualarly hoping for an opening but eventually gave up. However, the quality of the room and the fine location more than made up for the minor problems. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Just returned from a wonderful stay at Beach Cove! Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. Could not ask for a better place to stay for a family with young children. Will be back next year!
We just got back from the Beach Cove. I would say most of our stay was great. Major complaints were: room wasn't ready when we were told it would be (twice) and they need more elevators. We had a one BR suite and it had plenty of room. The parking was good. The pools were nice, and it was nice to have the pool bar and grill right there. We do plan on staying there next year but probably in a two bedroom. Another two pluses:
quiet area, and close to Barefoot Landing.
We just returned on June 26, 2004. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, ocean-front room. The room was nice but don't expect "plush" interior decorated furnishings. It was clean and the maid service did a good job each day. The pool area was nice and always was clean. The pool side grill/bar was also very convenient. The food wasn't bad either and the drinks (alcoholic) weren't watered down by any means.
You might want to double check your fire alarm in your room to see if it works. We had two fire alarms in the middle of the night (on two separate nights) but our alarm in our room didn't work. We spoke with some other guests 3 doors down and guests on the 11th floor, their alarm did go off. We were on the 15th floor. I spoke with a gentleman at the front desk who simply stated he wasn't there the night before and knew nothing of an alarm.
We would definitely stay here again.
