Alpine Hospitality in South Dakota
I stayed here in September, 1999 when I visited Mount Rushmore and environs. The Motel is a cozy place and not very expensive. I found the motel to be well maintained and convenient to everything. There is a good German themed restaurant adjacent to the motel which I give a seperate review to.
Unique Quality: Nice, neat room, staff was friendly and accomodating. Nice gift shop in office. There is an indoor/outdoor pool on property, a tennis court behind the motel rooms, and a video game lounge in the main office building.
I believe we paid less than $50 for the night, but it was off-season, just after Labor Day. The weather was still very summery and there were not huge crowds at Mount Rushmore at that time. So it was very pleasant to be there.
Currently room rates are $39-96 per night for double room and $59-135 per night for suite.
