Celebrity Hotel

Much more than we expected

The Celebrity Hotel was much more than we expected. Our room was huge and luxuriously decorated & appointed. We could have easily lived in this room for a month. The electric drapes, plasma T-V, wireless internet and excellent lighting were a plus.

Our marble bathroom was a pleasure; it was about 8 x 10. I wish we had enough time to enjoy the large soaking tub, but the heated towel bar, and large shower with the rain head were quite nice. The towels were large and soft, we enjoyed the soaps & lotions.

The staff made us feel like a Celebrity at the Celebrity. They were warm, friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. Laundry was $7.50 for a large bag and were were surprised to find our laundry clean & folded a couple of hours later. They recommended wonderful restaurants in Deadwood and overall went out of their way to accommodate us.

We enjoyed Kool Deadwood Nights and were in the heart of the action. We were worried about noise, but it wasn't a problem.

A complimentary breakfast was in the bar in the morning. We enjoyed coffee, juice, muffins, pastries, cereals, toast, and breakfast burritos. It wasn't anything fancy but it was clean and more than adequate.

Unique Quality: Downstairs was Nelson's Garage containing many historic cars, motorcycles, costumes & memorabilia from film & television. Casino was on the first floor, was worried about smoke but it didn't seem to be an issue.
