Camping in Yankton, SD at...

Camping in Yankton, SD at Lewis and Clark Recreation Area. The campgrounds were lovely and spacious and there was great fishing. Note that fishing permits in South Dakota are spendy, but so are the fines if you don't have one.

You can reserve a campsite or a cabin online. This campground is not exactly rustic, as it is a popular spot for boaters and there is a hotel and a nice restaurant in the park. There are also sand beaches and picnic spots.

The Dakota Cowboy in Custer...

The Dakota Cowboy in Custer was a nice place to stay the front desk helped in give me literatue and helping me get around.
I thought it was very reasonable it was 59.95 but We didnt price other places

Well there is nothing totally unique about this motel it is just a nice resonable, comfortable place to stay. What made me recomend this place is because the front desk said i should go up thru on hwy 89 north/east becasue you go up and around all of custer state park and it is breath taking and wonderful and a must see event.

We camped at the American Presidents campground. Free mini golf and a 85 degree pool kept the kids busy when we were getting dinner ready or just relaxing.
It was around $34 per night for campsite with water and electric hookup.

Around $34 per night with electric and water hookups. Comparable to others in the area. Free mini golf, heated pool and game room. Excellent mountain views.

Sylvan Lake Lodge and Resort: Sylvan Lake Lodge and Resort

Quietly nestled among the pine trees high in the Black Hills of Custer State Park. Rustic, timbered lobby with evening entertainment. Great food includes native wildlife. Enjoy your meal on the stone patio overlooking Sylvan Lake. Not far from Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, but peak summer traffic can make it a long drive.
