Leewood Motel: Nice place to stay

I stayed at this motel. It is reasonably clean and comfortable but not very fancy. The advantages of this motel is that the desk area is very well lit. The room has cable TV with quite a few channels and an alarm clock. People with expense accounts and used to expensive hotels will find that this motel does not have a mini-bar, hairdryer, iron, wi-fi, etc. The motel has a sign saying that it is newly remodeled.

The owners of this motel are from Seattle who once visited Kadoka and decided to buy the motel. Sarah, who I presume is their daughter, checked me in efficiently and courteously. Her name is etched in the sidewalk in front of the office (see picture 2).

The motel also rents DVD's. I did not ask if one could rent a DVD and get a machine hooked up to the room.

Leewood Motel: Bear behind Leewood Motel

My first tip about motels is about the Leewood Motel. If you look at that tip, you may see the bear between the two buildings. This is a larger picture showing the wooden bear behind the motel. It belongs to the neighboring house. That house also has a horse. It is live, not wooden.
