Good place, great trip

We used this hotel as our exploring base for a five day trip to SD.
The hotel was okay. Originally there were to be five of us in the room and there is no way we would have all fit. It was communicated to the hotel and I thought there was a sofa bed. Luckily there were only four of us on the trip.
There is minimal drawer and counter space. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, however the room was always very crowded. I originally picked the hotel for its llocation but in retrospect I would have stayed elsewhere. It seemed we were always heading south for our sightseeing. Keystone or thereabouts would have been a better base if you only stay in one hotel during your visit. There were plenty of places to eat by the hotel. Overall, the hotel itself was okay if a bit overpriced. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and beds comfy but too small.

Overall nice place. Rooms clean, breakfast was good but crowded as others have noted. Get up early if you want to be seated easily.
The pool has way too much chlorine. Sitting in the pool room watching the kids made my eyes burn after 20 minutes. They need to have this fixed; it can't be healthy. Of course, that probably means there are no germs in the pool water, as I doubt any microbe could survive the atmosphere in the room let alone the water. And the whole hotel smells like chlorine.
The kids did love the water slide, though, just their grouchy old man that had a complaint.

Very nice, we had a nice clearn room... Breakfast room was awesome, Waffles best... Also front desk staff would bake cookies every night. Very nice smell when you walked in after a long day of sight seeing. Would stay again. Indoor pool and work out center. Modern no complaints... I booked through hotel website. Great deal for the money.
Loved The Country Inn & Suites

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites because I was attending a convention in Rapid City. The hotel is in a great location, close to the mall. It is a very nice property. The pool area was a little dissappointing in that the chlorine was soo strong it almost burned to breath. Our hotel room was very nice and so was the lobby. They had a great continental breakfast. They also served complimentary soup & cookies in the evening the day we checked in. It was a very nice stay. I would definately go back.

Wonderful Hotel! This hotel is awesome, and I would definately stay there again. The hotel staff were wonderful which is a company trademark. The tgifridays restraunt attached to the restraunt serves wonderful meals, and the continental breakfast is delightful. It's location right off I-90 makes it a perfect stop. One downside though is the cost of the room during the summer season. I recommend making a stay either in may or september before the rates skyrocket.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, free internet access, the complimentary breakfasts included waffles and biscuits and gravy along with muffins, cereal, fresh fruit... The pool area was spacious, two hot tubs, and the twisted slide was so much fun. At 5:30 the hotel served soup, crackers and fresh fruit.... and there were always fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies or oatmeal raisin cookies in the lobby. The staff was professional and friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful. We traveled to the Badlands and Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore from the hotel. Many restaurants were around as well as stores. Our family of 6 who travels often, loved this hotel.

This was good for the money, AAA price, Nice and Clean and the beds were very comfortable. Was convenient to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was okay.....Overall a nice place to stay.
Clean, beautiful and fun hotel

This hotel was an absolute pleasure. The rooms were spacious and clean. Our room had a beautiful in room jacuzzi. The hotel had a fantastic indoor pool with a waterslide. There were free cookies and fruit throughout the day and the breakfast was very nice. This hotel is conveniently located near the highway, mall and shopping. Perhaps the nicest thing, however, were the employees. When I was having trouble printing out my airline tickets at their business center, they allowed me to use their computer and printer at the front desk.
