Econo Lodge Rapid City
Hotel was fine, nothing spectacular. It met our needs of a bed at night and free breakfast in the morning. When we were checking in though there was a woman yelling at the front desk clerk about the condition of their room. The clerk did not seem to care (looked like a teen on a summer job), which made the woman even more mad and she stormed out. Yikes. When we checked out the following morning there was an older female clerk who was very friendly...but a little tooooo friendly. When she asked where we were heading she then insisted on offering me directions for a "prettier route"...which took her 20 minutes to explain. I get that she was being friendly but I already had my GPS and maps set a certain way and I just wanted to stick to what I was familiar with...so it was aggravating.
Outback Steakhouse in walking distance, close to many gas stations and the exit, close to Mt Rushmore and other tourist activities.
