Williamson County Archives
Located near the heart of Downtown Franklin, the Williamson County Archives are newly located in the old library. For visitors to Franklin, this is really worth your time. Though technically this is our county archive building, it also serves as a museum of various Williamson County history. My dad actually helped refurbish this place and build the Eternal Flame outside of the building. While you look at the room of uniforms from past wars, look for the WWII uniform of Oliver Vincent (O.V.) Rainey. He was my great-grandfather, and I loved him dearly. Just as some side notes. :D Anyway, back to the archives, all or most of the artifacts inside were donated by Williamson County residents. It's very interesting, and very well done, so don't miss out on this great historical experience!
The Archives is located in the Old Library at Five Points in Downtown Franklin where Highway 431 and Highway 31 meet.
