Annual Natchez Trace Powwow
This is a real Native American powwow, and is very informative and extremely fun. If you have never attended a powwow before, this is something you CAN'T miss! The colorful regalia of the dancers is so exciting, the music of the drums makes your blood race, and the smell of fry bread in the air will make your mouth water. Guests are welcome to dance during Intertribals and other social dances, and you can also purchase various beautifully handmade crafts. I give this activity a 10 out of 10! Make sure you bring a blanket or lawn chairs if you plan on sitting down to watch the dances or listen to the stories.
The powwow is located in the Historic Leiper's Fork Village at the Corner of Old Hillsboro & Floyd Rd.
Franklin, Tennessee. Please check the website provided for dates, times, and admission.
