Microtel Inn and Suites Gatlinburg

Don't let the looks decieve you, Never Ever Ever stay at this place! I plan on posting this in as many places as I can. Roof leaked all into our room the day it rained and the carpet was wet. Crappy furniture that was falling apart. If we had not been so tired when we got there we would have changed rooms. I don't think the other rooms were any better. Paul overheard a woman canceling her reservations for next year! At least the bed was clean.

Unique Quality: Location

This is the smallest room I have stayed in, outside of Europe. However, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is perfectly located just off Stoplight #8 in Gatlinburg, which makes it walking distance to most restaurants and attractions. The hotel offers free parking, free breakfast (juice and coffee, mini-donuts, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, grits, toast and bagels), a large flat-screen TV and mini-fridge in the room. Remember to bring your own shampoo (the supply the soap, but not shampoo). The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and this hotel is pet friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

This inn was overbooked. I wanted to cancel because of a rain storm that delayed my travels. They said I had to come anyway. I got there at 11:00 PM and did not have a bed. They wanted me to sleep on a sofa bed that had blood on the matteress cover. I do not recommend this place to anyone. After numerous phone calls they would not return any of my money.
