I would take you to graceland.

Besides Graceland, I would have to say the trip back to our hotel in Tunica, Miss.
My fondest memory was that Jim and I got lost in down town Memphis for 3 hours!! Yes we asked for directions and the people gave us wrong directions.
I'm goin' to Graceland too!

what trip to Memphis would be complete without a trip to Graceland too, yes, I said Graceland too...Not the Graceland Elvis lived in but the home of Paul McCloud, probably the biggest Elvis fan in history. You have to see this place, I mean if you like off the beaten path, meeting new and "unique" individuals this is the place to go. This man has devoted nearly his entire life to memorilizing Elvis, he has even painted and re-created his home to look like Graceland...
I mean really the place is amazing, his devotion to Elvis is truly... weird and amazing all at the same time. His house drips of Elvis memorabelia, and he runs the tours 24 hours a day, all you have to do is knock on his front door. It may take him awhile to get to the door, but have no fear he will answer. It's like 5 bucks to get in and you get your picture taken with Elvis, (okay it's really a cardboard cut out of the King) and after 3 visits you become a lifetime member and can come anytime you like for free, Paul is willing to tell you all sorts of crazy stories about how he divorce wives over the King and how his son, Elvis Aaron Presely McCloud looks just like Elvis.
The house is located in Holly Springs just between Memphis and Elvis' birthplace, Tupelo.
Great atmosphere!
by sarahbeth11 about BB King's
BB King's is another one of those places you can't miss when you go to Memphis. Live music is the main attraction here, and they didn't let us down! It was busy - standing room only both downstairs AND upstairs on the balcony. We had no choice but to dance in front of the band. The music was great and the people were fun. This was the first place we encountered $4.50 Bud Lights, but it's a small price to pay for great entertainment!
Club 152
by dlandt about Club 152
Club 152 was the only place in Memphis that I would classify as not inexpensive. Although the prices are higher than elsewhere in the city, I would have to say it was worth every single penny and I would have gladly paid more. The red beans and rice were perfect, nice and savory with a little spice but not too much and the BBQ was tender and juicy, with a sauce second to none. Everything they put out, from devilishly spicy chicken strips to the fries was just done so well I can't wait to go back. BBQ and red beans and rice. They call pulled pork barbecued pork, and it is really really good. They also served a good regional beer from Texas called a Shiner Bock.
Corky's BBQ
by frankcanfly
Corky's is everywhere in this town, but I think the one that I went to is an older one...
I tried a rack of ribs, "half & half". That means that half the rack was 'wet' and the other half was dry rubbed with spices. It was good, but I've had better.
