I heard that the Pyramid Arena is now empty and the Fed Ex Arena has taken over most of the concerts and events.
Can I ask why? The Pyramid is bigger and is a quality place.
What will happen to it?

Maybe ticketmaster got a better deal? My guess would be the quality of the accoustics, electronics, vending and luxury suites.
It happens with all new arenas, they seem to have a 15 year usefulness these days.
the answer is that the leadership in Memphis are poor planners, the Pyramid was abandoned primarily I think because of moneyed interest and lobbying. The seating in the Pyramid is very strange too, the acoustics are very very bad as well. That's my opinion
Graceland is much more modest and sober than I expected (apart from the jungle room), and all the more pleasant for that. But park there and take the free bus up to Sun Studios and you will see the magical room where Elvis, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, BB King and U2 amongst others have recorded.
On the rooftop of the Peabody Hotel, you will find a fairly large metal cage with another fountain for the ducks. It looks more like a "kiddie pool" to me, but I suppose it is just another fountain to the ducks. In the same cage, you will see their "Palace".

This bar is not far from the University of Memphis campus. You'll find a lot of the college kids come here to hang out, drink, & get a bite to eat. If you're looking for something to drink they have a great drink menu. If they don't give you one, ask for the shooter menu. It's extremely long & impossible to try them all. They have a great deal on shots when a train goes by, so make sure you order some during that time. They're right by the tracks...hence the name.
Corky's has some of the best BBQ in Memphis. The environment is very relaxed & casual. You can even buy some of the barbecue sauce to take home with you or a tee shirt or other souvenirs. If you REALLY like their BBQ you should check out their website. They can ship it to you. Not sure if that applies to anywhere outside the US. Anything you order will be great. I prefer the pork sandwich myself, and the fries are great. Most people prefer their wet ribs.
This place has (shrimp-crab-oysters-catfish & more). They have kid's menu's-fish tacos-burgers & you can get to go orders also. The food is pretty good and you don't have to dress up. That's what i like about Memphis. The fish on top moves back and forth. catfish-shrimp & banana pudding
