Econolodge Memphis Airport

We were perplexed at the airport as on where to go. We called this hotel and they came and picked us up in 5 minutes. This was free. We were on a moderate budget and still wanted some thing nice and safe.
The front desk girl was really polite and she got us a nice room for 40 dollars a night. It was really quiet except the airplanes flying by, which you cant really hear in your rooms. The room was good except a light bulb which the manager came and fixed himself. They are under new management and they offered to drop me to the car rental place for free.

They also have a small breakfast, pool and free Wi-Fi. In all, great value for money.

Unique Quality: Very friendly management.

Directions: Just call from the airport for free pickup

As you would expect from a site so close to the airport, aircraft did pass close overhead from time to time. This was not as disturbing as you might think because the noise seemed to stop later in the evening. Do they have restrictions on nightime flying?

On the evening we were there in early May, we were picked up by pink limo and transported free of charge to and from a very good restaurant. See my review of Marlowe's.

Don't stay here, the planes are flying over every 45 seconds.
This is day and night. You can not sleep in this motel.
We have booked for 4 nights but after 1 night we left the motel.
We did book a room in the Heartbreak Hotel and that was very good.

Unique Quality: There is a pool and you have a small breakfast in the morning.
