Memphis' Graceland

When you are in Memphis the very thing you should do is to visit Elvis Presley's Graceland. Graceland might be able to provide some insights into how the power of one man's music could bring the whole world together. Visiting Graceland is very inspiring in terms of business strategy and personal achivement. Elvis's musical success and Priscilla's marketing genius have put Memphis on the map!
Come to the Civil Rights Baseball game
by marinarena
One of the most important pre-season Major League baseball events is the Civil Rights game, held at the minor league stadium, AutoZone Park in downtown Memphis. Beginning just in 2007, the annual game honors acheivements in civil rights at large and celebrates African-American players past and present. There is much interest generated for the event which is an unofficial start to the MLB season. Despite hype, attendance is fair at best at the game. MLB still is likely to continue promoting the game nevertheless, in effort to increase awareness of civil rights and for the spirit of racial harmony.
Expect some hot and humid weather at the game, for, it is held in Memphis!

Driving in Memphis
by Elena_007
The best way to get around town in Memphis is to rent a car. There are several companies to choose from, but I am recommending Enterprise Rent-A-Car simply because they have over 40 makes and models, including minivans, SUV's (Sport Utility Vehicles) luxury cars, and 15 passenger vans. They also offer a free pick-up service that is not limited to a 5 mile radius like Budget Car and Truck Rental. I have not used them, because I live here and drive my own vehicle around town. The car in the photo was parked in the Peabody Place parking garage, when I went to see the world famous Peabody ducks. I only wish it was mine. Here are a few others you may want to check out:
Avis

National Car Rental

Budget Car and Truck Rental

I do not know the price comparisons, and of course, it would depend on the type of vehicle, mileage, and length of rental, etc. that you would require for your visit, but there are several options available to rent a vehicle in Memphis.
McEwons on Monroe
by MattW212 about McEwons on Monroe
McEwons food and atmosphere is great for a good business lunch, or a romantic dinner. The food is excellent and the wine list is good. I recommend this resteraunt to anyone who enjoys a well prepared meal with a good presentation. Their cuisine is a rather unique blend of gourmet and distinctly southern cooking. Everything there is of a superb quality. Also, unlike other resteraunts that provide a gourmet cuisine, McEwons portions are generous.
