Elvis Live in Concert (February 1977)
by Elena_007
Thanks to my dear friend Steve, (NC_Ziggy here on Virtual Tourist) for sending me some wonderful photographs of Elvis in concert. These photographs were taken approximately 6 months prior to the legendary performer's untimely death. These photographs are rare indeed, as Vernon Presley is also in attendance at the concert in Charlotte, North Carolina. His Father is standing right in front of the stage, clearly Elvis' biggest fan. It is very heartwarming to see the joy and pride in both of their faces as Elvis performs.
Please visit Steve's Memphis page for a rare glimpse back in time at the life of a world legend. VirtualTourist.com - NC_Ziggy's Memphis Travel Page

Beale Street
by Tom_Fields about Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee
This is the historic street in downtown Memphis, memorialized in song and countless stories and movies. The most famous club is of course B.B. King's. For a flat fee, you can get a pass granting access to all the other clubs. The music is mainly blues and rock. Beale Street is reasonably safe. Depends on where you go. Generally casual.
Transports of Delight
by bottlebank about Marlowe's
Lovely decor.
Lively bar.
Excellent menu and delicious food, specialising as you may have guessed, in ribs and steaks.
I would thouroughly recommend this place but the icing on the cake is they provided a chauffeur driven pink limo to take us fto and from our hotel. I believe this service is available to all the hotels in the airport vicinity.
THE most fun restaurant to eat...
by AABrewer
THE most fun restaurant to eat in is
'BRAVO! Ristorante' in the Adams Mark Hotel.
Live singing, live piano everynight.
Bit pricey....but terrific atmosphere!!
The live singing and piano is really a mood
setter. You can make requests for
special songs. All the wait staff sings...
just wait till your waiter hits the
music!!! I have loved everthing I have ordered here!
