Considering the Value Place in Memphis?
A VT member wrote the following comment about visiting Memphis:
Mud Island is FREE by dlandt
Mud Island is essentially a dressed up city park that contains a scale model of the Mississippi River. In the pictures, some of which are under the main photo, you will also see that it contains a scale model of the cities which lie along the Mississippi River. Lisa is standing in Memphis, Miyuki and Nina have chosen West Memphis to rest. In addition to the wadeable model, there are food vendors and musicians, some of which were really good, to make your time more enjoyable. For the more academically minded, plaques detail historical outlines and places of significance. You can also get some great views of the river itself from the island. The city skyline is pleasant as well.
