Best Rate Promise
We are pretty low-maintenance hotel guests, so the Country Inn and Suites near the airport was almost just right for us. The location was not the greatest. It was in the middle of lots of stuff that can be found in any city in the country (think Applebees, Walgreens and Waffle House) Aside form that, I highly recommend this hotel. It was nice, clean, and we were left alone with out "privacy please" tag on the door all weekend. They even dropped off a bag of clean towels and new shampoo and soap and stuff outside our door! I was satisfied. Another big plus was free and easy wireless internet. No codes or anything!
If you want to stay at the Country Inn and Suites (locations everywhere!) I definitely recommend doing your homework. The rate on their website was 75-85 for the night we stayed, but I found a rate of $66 per night on hotels.com. Country Inn and Suites has a best rate online guarantee, and if you can present a verifiable cheaper rate for the exact same type of room, they will give you a discount off the cheaper rate! So I got our stay for $49.50 per night.
To do this, I had to first book through the Country Inn and Suites website. This is important!! That means paying the full amount of the reservation up front. Then after I made my reservation I submitted an online claim form by clicking on the "Best Rate Guarantee" link. Within a day and a half I had my verification that my claim had been approved. It took a week for the difference to go back onto my card, though. But overall, I thought the process was smooth and reliable. I would do it again!
