More about Embassy Suites Hotel Nashville Airport
Overall Good

This is a great hotel with just a few problems. Pool was awesome. Complimentary breakfast awesome. Staff very nice. Complimentary cocktails awesome.
Room needs new carpet!!!!!! Lots of stains and very funky.
My room smelled like smoke but was a non-smoking room.
I would stay again but try to get a better room.
great breakfast!-room very nice

WE stayed 2 nights and were pleased with service. The indoor pool is very nice but the heat needs to be turned up.---The buffet breakfast was very good. The room we were in had been updated-new carpet and new bed covers.
Not Embassy Quality or Service
by TripAdvisor Member KathyL69
We have stayed at this hotel twice and both times had bad experiences with this hotel. (The second time the arrangements were made by someone else) We had rude service from both the front desk staff and the staff at the reception. To enjoy the breakfast on the weekend you must be there the minute it opens or it'll be empty or an unbearable line. The pool was of questionable cleanliness the first time we stayed there. The beds are incredible uncomfortable. The sort I'd expect from a Motel 6 (which we have happily stayed at to save money). Please if you can stay anywhere else do - this place NOT up to Embassy Suites standards.
Not Pet Friendly Anymore :-(

I found this property to be nice, but not nearly as nice as I expected from Embassy Suites. The breakfast was well staffed and delicious. However, the weekend we were there had two weddings booked in the lobby. They closed half of the elevators, relocated the cocktail hour to the tiny bar, and demanded everyone be very quiet in the pool. I wish I had been told this prior to booking a family reunion there that weekend. And now, they do not allow pets anymore.
Rooms last renovated in 1980s (?)- Wireless Internet Unreliable
by A TripAdvisor Member
This place needs updated, in a major way.
Rooms, or suites as they are called, all feature living room furniture and kitchen table that is a step above dorm room quality, but the bed was comfortable. My favorite fixture was the light fixture above the mirror in the bedroom that was made of a plastic tube with gold plastic caps on either side.....tacky!
In the marketing materials the wireless internet is said to be available everwhere on the property, but I've stayed here three times in a year, and it was
not available in any of my rooms.
Airport shuttle is inconsistent. When I called from the airport to see when the shuttle was coming back all the front desk could tell me was that the driver was 'in the hotel somewhere'.
There are a lot of newer, hotels closer to the airport that would provide a better stay. If I didn't have meetings at this hotel, that's where I'd stay.
Would look elsewhere until rennovation and road construction are done

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites airport for a family vacation. It is still in the process of being rennovated and there is limited parking due to the fact there are several semis in the back parking lot. They said that our room was completely rennovated but it still seemed outdated to me. It just wasn't up to Embassy standards. The staff was fine; requests for extra towels, etc were fullfilled promptly but no one was overyly friendly except one of the painters working there. We were in a non smoking suite and my daughter and I immediately noticed a strong smoke smell when we entered. We determined that it was the shower curtain. I would not be surprised if someone did smoke in the room because the hotel seemed to be filled with smokers and there was always someone smoking in the smoking area close to the pool. The bar band was also extremly loud a couple of nights and could be heard in our room on an upper floor. As for the birds mentioned previously there were two cockatiels in a cage sitting on a rock by the bar area. One plus, it is very convenient to Opry Mills and you can avoid construction by taking McGavock pike the entire way.
It was decent

Stayed Labor day weekend. Had a king suite even though I reserved a double queen. Room was clean but old. They're renovating most of the hotel and as a matter of fact they closed the hotel on Labor day for renovations in the lobby area. Parking was a problem at night because the back of the hotel was full of trailers and there were a lot of dressed up teenagers there for some reason. The breakfast was pretty good on the made to order side. The buffet side food was cold. You could tell they were short manned because they ran out of silverware around 9:30 and the tables weren't cleared fast enough. The indoor pool was nice even though my kids didn't use it. The room itself was functional with 2 tvs microwave, frig. Only 32 channels and internet for $10 a day. Free HBO and a TV that accepted playstation plug-ins. It's about 10 minutes to downtown. It seems to be hidden in some business district so it was hard to find at first, especially since I left my directions at home. K-Mart about 1.5 miles away if you need something, plus a couple of restaurants. Paid $108 with tax for 1 night and I'd stay there again.
Not Bad--Updates Needed.

The ES-Nashville Airport is located in a very upscale office park environment off Elm Hill Pike (near the Briley Parkway) close to Nashville Airport. This appears to be an older ES property that, as of this writing (Sept '06), is being renovated--currently in the lobby and conference room areas.
As I was in town for an overnight conference, my access to the hotel's various facilities was limited. Our room was the standard ES layout (w/a very comfortable king size bed)--but in need of updating...the bathroom was small--about the size of a standard motel room--you would have expected more from ES....but otherwise the suite was comfortable and fit our needs....did not eat in the restaurant, so can't comment on it....breakfast is served in the atrium--standard fare (eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, pancakes, biscuits/gravy, etc...), there is a made-to-order egg/omelet station that looked pretty good--breakfast was hot and tasty, but nothing special...appeared to be a shortage of staff bussing the tables.....good-sized indoor pool and a small sundries shop are both off the lobby area.
My wife and I are big ES fans, and once the renovations are complete, I'm sure management will have this property up to current ES standards...generally a good place to stay for a night or two, but for now anticipate some minor inconveniences.
Very disappointed

The hotel is under renovation, but they don't tell you that when you make your reservation. Various other problems and poor maintenance abounded:
1. Iron burn in carpet - nice clean outline of an iron there.
2. Ceiling paint/texture peeling/falling in bedroom.
3. Scotch tape on ceiling in living room area.
4. Red stains in carpet.
5. Door between living and bedroom scraped up severely.
6. Rust stains in the tub.
7. Tub faucet handle dangerously close to falling off in my hand.
8. Construction debris noted on floors where no construction was occurring.
9. Bedroom TV sprayed with paint.
10. Parking cramped due to apparent storage of semi-trailers (some were even "tagged" with vandalism) in rear of facility.
11. Coffee cups and drink glass noted on floor outside the room door at checkin were still there the next day. Someone later moved them just around the corner where they remained the following day at checkout.
12. Dirty diaper noticed in parking lot remained there entire stay (2 days).
13. Enough dust on room furniture to write in (and we did).
14. Hotel is hard to find, even with the directions.
Frequented Embassy Suites before - this was bottom of the barrel. 16 years of business travel and this is my first written complaint ever. Housekeeping was POOR, hotel is just plain OLD and in dire need of renovation. I hope our room was not one of the ones already "renovated".
No way I will ever go back there again.
