Nice hotel - nice staff
Residence Inn rooms are like studio apartments - they have a full refrigerator, full stove and oven, microwave... Perfect for families who travel and might want to eat in on certain nights, or for the business traveler. Free internet access - but be sure to specify! I was put in a building with wireless internet, but I needed a hardline. Not a problem - the friendly staff moved me to another room with no problem.
I stayed at this hotel for 6 months following Hurricane Katrina. Now, as then, the staff is ceaselessly friendly and accommodating. The manager, Dennis Barber, is often on hand and is adamant about making your stay a great one.
Unique Quality: Hotel has a pool, exercise room, guest laundry. FREE breakfast buffet daily, FREE "mixers" Monday thru Thursday. Great way to save your per diem if you are on business travel!
