For our honeymoon in April 2011, my husband rented a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. Each cabin has a name - we stayed in Intimate Hideaway. The link attached will show you photos, but it is even prettier in person! This is a one-bedroom cabin, with 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen (with full refrigerator, full stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker...), gas fireplace, hot tub, pool table, electronic darts, a gas grill outside, and a lovely swing just beside the deck. It also comes with DirecTV, so we were able to watch the Nashville Predators hockey game (I know, I know...).
The cabin is at the top of a steep hill - there are no other cabins above us. The mountain view was breathtaking, and it was only a few minutes to downtown Pigeon Forge - or to Gatlinburg and it's surrounding activities.
Beautiful, and romantic - this was a perfect cabin for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway. PLUS, with the full kitchen, you can save some money by cooking and eating in sometimes. Bonus!
We are already planning a return visit - we LOVED this cabin!

We just stayed at the Pigeon River in through a promotion and got 2 nights free! The hotel was perfect and right on the Parkway, close to everything! The room was big and clean and had a balcony overlooking the river. We could come home and unwind listening to the water flow by. This trip was amazing! Went to Dollywood which was great. We ate a ton - and got a lot for free too!
Great views, great location.

We recently stayed at Smoky Cove in a new cabin called Big Bear Retreat. It was fantastic. We couldn't have been more pleased with our cabin and the Smoky Cove Staff. They were professional and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Smoky Cove Chalet and Cabin Rentals to anyone. If you call their office, you can usually get a discount from the posted nightly rates. One thing I learned the hard way, these cabins get reserved early for holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fourth of July, etc. Have fun!
Resort is clean and quiet. Some cabins are in wooded areas while other cabins have fantastic views of the Smokies. Staff is very professional. On-site management and maintenance.
this tip is not so much about my stay, but about how to get a great deal....i waited until one week before going to pigeon forge and patriotgetaways.com had a last minute deal...and i do mean a great deal...fifty percent off the entire stay....so we booked a cabin for the first week of june in the last week of may and because we booked so late, we just got to pick from the remaining unbooked cabins...we got a cabin with a jacuzzi on the deck and another whirlpool in the master bath and it only cost us 350 dollars for 6 days....check out their site before you reserve with someone else...we saved 350 dollars....
Pleasant cabin, has a little river across the cabin. thereis a road behind our cabin but nothing really disturbing ( does make you remember there are others out there thow ). The staff is pleasant, accomidations sothing. I would recomend this for a small family. We had our dogs in the " pet friendly " cabin and our young son. This was a very nice getaway for us.
Has a jacuzzie on porch ( nice and ready ) a whilpool inside, all kitchen facilities, fireplace, pullout bed ( very confy beileve it or not ! ). KING size bed ( very nice, husband has very bad back & he slept WELL ).
