The Old Mill and the bakery are special.. and in winter there is not one single "European" to be seen Whatever I expected of the US, not this...I felt in "winterwonderland" more German/Austrian than US. What I miss the most is the green Fun Trolley, dead cheap and making every "move" from A to B an adventure as such If you're not in a hurry of course)
One of my family's summer vacation destinations was this area in Tennessee. Unfortunately, because my mother planned the trip, I do not know the details of the accomodations, but I plan on asking if she remembers the names.

As you can see from this picture, the drive around the Smokey Mountain area is incredibly scenic and very lush.
