Question on cabins in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area

by ChristyS

We are looking into staying in a cabin for our honeymoon in September. We would like something romantic, but with the beautiful mountain views. I have seen pictures on the internet and the views look spectacular, but I have heard that some of these cabins are right on top of each other and you can practically see into your neighbor's cabin or they can see into yours - definitely not ideal for a honeymoon! Is this true, and if so, what is the best way to avoid this? Any info is appreciated.... :-)

I have stayed at a cabin company called Cabins For You. They have great Gatlinburg rental cabins. Check out the website:

We have stayed in it all in all locations in 25 years of Oct anniversaries. Two years ago we found 3 secluded cabins from a small private-owner company called All Seasons Cabins in Pigeon Forge. Two of the cabins are cozy made for 2 secluded in the woods with distant views of the Smokies 5 minutes from the parkway of PF and their other is high in the mountains of PF above Dollywood.
All three are very private.
The cabins are fully-stocked with it all for that romantic getaway for unbelievable rates plus tax only from the owners that manage their own company.
We didn't have to pay all those extra fees. We have stayed in 2 of the cabins and for our 25th we will stay with them again.
See their website for more info, discounts, photos, and guest comments at their website. Its just too much for me to list here. www.allseasons.com
You have picked a perfect honeymoon destination. Have a happy honeymoon and life together.

Travel Tips for Pigeon Forge

Drive Into True Wilderness in the Park

by Rusty_Pyles

You can access two gravel roads off of the Cades Cove loop road that will take you into lightly traveled portions of the park. The roads are maintained fairly well, and if you drive with care and slowly cars can accomplish the drive if they have reasonable ground clearance.

Rich Mountain Road takes you north and empties close to Townsend Tn. There is an amazing overlook of Cades Cove that is a photographer's dream.

Parsons Branch Road heads over the mountains to the south east. It is a longer road that travels into even more remote country. The road is lined with wild flowers and creeks, my experience it is even less travelled. The last time we were up it, there were places where the creeks crossed the road in shallow water concrete crossings.

The roads are closed seasonally and for maintenance and management reasons at other times. We usually just head there and see if the gate is open, but you could probably call the visitors center for a status report if it is really important to you.

Make sure that you have plenty of gas and some refreshements before you enter the park. The last chance for drinks and snacks is the camp store at Cades Cove.
