Sweetwater Valley Cheese Farm
"Cheese Please"
If you like cheese here's a nice clean little cheese factory just a few miles off I-75 the web site is Sweetwater Valley Cheese Factory their address is 17988 W. Lee Hwy (Hwy 11) Philadephia, Tn. Closed on Sundays, open til 5pm Monday thru Sat. but you can order over the web. The cheese there is really good and I'm not a big cheese lover but this was just great. If you visit the factory/farm you can buy the not so pretty cuts of the cheese for half the regular price, my stomach did not know a fancy cut of cheese from odd cuts of the cheese. And they had lots of free samples to try the different kinds. This was a good stop not far off I-75 and the road was good into the farm, so travel trailers will have no problems. The picture shows the last time Nov. 05 what kind of cheese Ray bought, there's black pepper, colby, jack, sharp, jalapeno, marbled chedder. I made a great omelet using the jalapeno for a nice change. The cheese cost about 4.00 to 5.00 us dollars for a pound. It's not like store bought cheese, very nice, cheese please! It's a little more expensive than store bought but you will enjoy a quality product like this cheese is. It's only about a total of 3 miles off the highway so when you go I-75 and are in the neighborhood stop in and sample ALL the cheeses they have! An update we have been sharing cheese with our neighbors so I will be giving a cheese report in a few days on the favorite ones, ours at this time are the black pepper with the rye cackers ( that are in the picture you can pick them up at any store that sells town house crackers) very very good yum yum and also the jalapeno in an omelet and well the sharp and .... another update the neighbors have put in their favorites of the cheeses we brought back the Jalapeno and the Black Pepper were on the top of everyones list . We will be traveling through that way here next week so we'll get a few more different kind to try, if they're closed when we go that way we'll just order a few bricks, they're the same price in the store as online.
