Travel Tips for Addison

Blueprints at Addison Circle

by keeweechic

Blueprints at Addison Circle was created as an 'exclamation point the traffic circle'. The structure stands 45 feet high, is 140 feet across and weighs 410,000 pounds with each pole weighing in a 9,000 pounds. The five petals of Blueprints contain detailed elements from the blueprints used to build many of the city's buildings and parks.

Location: Addison Circle at Quorum Drive and Addison Circle Drive.
. Quite an amazing site at night time.

Good Burgers and Quiet Sports Bar

by msbrandysue about Addison Point

The Addison Point is a favorite for many family members, even though they are very different people. Not matter your tastes these burgers are worth it. It's a small sports bar with a small crowd. It's been around since before I was born even though there are no flashy signs to get you here.

Inside it's dark and it's one of the only places you can still smoke inside. It's got a few games for the kids. Good selection of TVs but don't expect the latest HD on all of them. My family says the burgers. I like the club sandwich and grilled cheese. (There's always that odd duck in the family!)

Flying Fish

by kd_baby about Flying Fish

This seafood restaurant specializes in fried and grilled seafood of all sorts -- shrimps, oysters, catfish, et al. The "flying fish" decorations, along with the lures, make for an interesting scenery. Oddly enough, you kind of feel like you're in an aquarium. Anyway, the food is good, but not great. I'd still prefer to visit "Hook, Line, & Sinker" in Uptown (Dallas). Their fried shrimp and chicken combos are pretty good. Don't get the gumbo as the rue is too thick.

Working holiday

by Kevross85

"Big bad Texas"

This was my first trip to texas and yes it is true everything is bigger in texas a car is essential for getting around as not much things are within walking distance.

I came here to Addison for six weeks on work and found it a great place. the people here are very friendly and willing to help you when ever possible. The nightlife is ok in addison but the reall place to go is to go downtown in Dallas.
