We would stay at the Ambassador again
Spent the weekend at Ambassador- Amarillo recently and the staff was outstanding during our stay - very helpful and friendly. Check in was quick and easy, the door man asked about our plans and offered advice, printed additional maps, etc. Really above and beyond.
The hotel is an older property but is super clean, well- kept, and offers great amenities. We stayed on the 10th floor (the Cattle Barron level), and while it was a tad more money breakfast and evening appetizers & adult beverages are included for guests on that floor. We enjoyed that the Cattle Barron Lounge was on the same floor as our room. It was a great space with nice furnishings, and the staff was polite and friendly.
Our experience with the Ambassador and their staff was great. I would stay here again.

One night in Amarillo
This is a comfortable hotel close to the centre of Amarillo. TGI Fridays is attached and appeared to be used by hotel guests and locals. Bar staff were very friendly.
Room was of a good size and looked on to an interior courtyard. Plenty of free parking.
