suburban is good for the price

My stay was for 3 nights and it was different from my normal hotel stays cause i've never stayed in an extended stay before, but it was a great price and it had everything I needed. It was actually great not to have housekeeping knocking at my door every morning. It felt very private but very safe. The staff was more than nice. The hotel was so close to everything downtown. Just keep in mind if you have a laptop bring your ethernet cord!

Location and Austin Charm

I never stayed at this motel, but I would recommend it to a visitor for it's central location and it's Austin charm. This motel will put you in the heart of the SOCO area. It is next store to restaurants, coffee shops and art galleries. If you stay here, you may not even need to rent a car, since you will be able to walk to so many cool things right from your motel. The sign in front of the motel will give you a giggle too!

So Cute!

Clean, large rooms with comfortable beds. Very unique and kitschy. I've stayed in rooms with "tropical" and "safari" themes. You can look at the various rooms on their website and pick the one you want. The staff is nice, the price is very affordable, and the location is great. It's right in the middle of all the South Congress shops and restaurants.

Unique Quality: Outdoor pool.

Vintage Austin Landmark Motel near Downtown

If you are looking for a place that truly encompasses the culture that many people have found to know and love in their travels to Austin... then look no further. I have visited this great affordable motel on South Congress Street a few times with my Father.
From the fifties style pool to the individually decorated rooms, this place has been family owned and operated motel since 1938 and is proud of it's uniqueness. Just minutes away from the Capital and short walk from the famous bats under the Congress Street Bridge. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. I highly recommend this to any family or single traveler.

Unique Quality: Located in the heart of the South Congress area of town, you are literally within walking distance to many great Austin eateries such as Threadgills, Guerro's and Amy's Icecream shop.
If you are in the mood for great live music, just across the street is the famous Continental Club.
The pool is clean and a summer time must in state of Texas. It is very kid friendly!
