worst pillows, no King-sized beds
We were staying in Austin for several days, so we wanted a reasonably-priced suites hotel not too far from the airport. This Candlewood Suites is convenient to the airport, but a bit far from anything else you might want to do in Austin. It has no greenery surrounding it--only concrete and highway. It has no pool. It is clean. There is free laundry--even detergent provided. There is also a little "pantry" where you can buy food, snacks and toiletries. What I don't like is the fact that you cannot get a room with a king-sized bed. Queen beds are the biggest they have. We are used to a king, so it was uncomfortable. Also, the pillows were the worst I've slept on and the sheets are low quality. You do not have daily maid service, so if you don't like sleeping in a messy bed, you have to make the bed yourself. You can bring you towels down to the desk if you want fresh ones. Overall, for the price, I'd give this place a miss and go somewhere else.
Unique Quality: This place has no outstanding characteristics except for free laundry, which is convenient if you are staying more than a day or two.

Candlewood Suites
Some times you can get real CHEAP rates on those websites that you enter in the bid the price you will pay. My friend chris did that and stayed for $25 a night.
Unique Quality: The rooms are nice, and and the prices are good. Some rooms have kithens. They have washers and dryers.
