Thanks for the cookie!

I wouldn’t call it a palace but it is still one of the top-class hotels I have had the chance to stay at.

From outside it simply looks like another of these big hotels without anything fancy. However once you enter, you immediately notice the decoration is a clear differentiator. The inside architecture made me think to some kind of luxurious hacienda. Try to get a room with a view on the inside patio, all these arches are simply amazing.

One more particularity is the warm cookie you receive when you check in, nothing exceptional but it makes you feel welcome. Another nice surprise was to be welcomed with a few words of French…

The rooms are really nice, pretty comfortable, clean and well decorated. On the bad side, I was quite surprised they were not equipped with a personal safe. Even if, for a reason I still haven’t identified, you have to badge to access the last floor, I would have been more comfortable leaving my laptop and camera safely locked.
No parking issue, there is a big inside parking but add 7$ extra per day.

You can have your breakfast in the local restaurant or have it delivered to your room. I’d suggest to try the ‘rancheros breakfast’, jetlagged as I was, it was lunch time, I had no problem with the quantity, however waking up with some spicy food was slightly more challenging ;-)

If you want to try something different for lunch, simply cross the street and you’ll find a famous (and affordable) Cajun restaurant.
