Luxury stay with Texas friendliness
We decided to stay at the Four Seasons to celebrate a special achievement, but didn't want to go to far from home--the Four Seasons was perfect! Everyone is super friendly and the rooms must be sound proof b/c I didn't hear the other rooms tvs, bathrooms, etc etc like you usually hear. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.
Unique Quality: They had a little welcome bag of baby toiletries for my baby, smores in the evening during summer!!! they also had a pretty nice spa--not crazy luxurious like something in vegas, like canyon ranch, but it was still nice. You can also see bats flying out of their cave at dusk.

Unique Quality: "The" hotel of Austin, where the rich and powerful mingle and make deals. Rooms are well-appointed, staff is very responsive. Close to the Capitol and Sixth Street.

High End Downtown Hotel
If you are looking to complete your high scale visit to Austin, I would highly recommend staying at the Four Seasons Austin. It is truly the epitomy of class in the Austin area.
I would highly recommend eating the Eggs Benedict for breakfast, it is really great!

If you have the cash...spend it!
If you want to slurge in Austin, you might want to consider this hotel. It is not for anyone on a budget...but if it's a special occasion or you have an endless cash supply...this would be your hotel.
The location is great...next to the river, restaurants and downtown and I hear the rooms are really nice. I have only been in the lobby, but I know someone that works there and she tells me the rooms are very nice.
