pretty bad service for a little inn...
Stayed for a weekend for business in this cozy, friendly little hotel a mere 10 minutes from the Austin airport. Shuttle service is complimentary via Supershuttle, and the front desk is very courteous and helpful. Room was decorated in muted tones of brown and golds, and provided a homey feeling. No frills, but nothing to complain about.
Basic amenities include:
~in room refrigerator and microwave (to whip up gourmet meals)
~fitness center
~guest laundry and dry cleaning
~ outdoor swimming pool
~free wireless internet (very important!)
~free breakfast from 6-10am!
~free local and 800 calls
~tv/pay-per-view movies
~coffee available in the lobby 24/7
~complimentary parking
~friendly, helpful staff
Bad things:
~no room service
~no "real" business center, but single computer in lobby
~no bottle water in the rooms or in the vending machines!!! ahhh...
***As I checked in, I was asked for a credit card for incidentals. (The rooms are always paid for and taken care of by my company.) Upon checkout, I paid for my incidentals with cash, and 4 days later got charged for the room. After talking to the hotel staff, they said their was no company credit card on file (even though we had a block of rooms) and they decided to charge my card instead.***
Unique Quality: Nothing too unique about this hotel...Definitely not the romantic weekend getaway spot. There is an Omni Hotel directly across the street with a decent lobby bar and food...
