Boat on Lake Austin/Travis. Devil's Cove on Memorial Day weekend is pretty crazy. I miss jogging around Town Lake. You really get a feel of Austin's culture - laid-back, friendly, in to fitness and fun.

Unique Quality: Perched next to Lake Austin, this is a first class spa resort that is without rival. The grounds and amenities are fabulous. IThe staff is attentive without being overbearing. The food is healthy but not pretentious. I've been to some of the "best" spas in America and this is BY FAR the best. This is Texas at its finest.

Mozart’s Coffee Roasters is set on Lake Austin and it's a casual upscale environment where people gather to drink coffee, eat dessert, sit on the patio and listen to music, play cards, talk, study or just sit and watch the lake.

Serene patio surrounded by Oaks and Lake Austin. This place made studying a delight. There is an indoor area as well as a multi-deck overlooking the lake. Wi-fi, bottomless coffee and delectable desserts.
Rising 200 feet over the surrounding area, Mount Bonnell offers visitors a great view of downtown, as well as, Lake Austin (which is really part of the Colorado River). It is a bit of a hike to the top from where you park, but the view is worth it. It is open 5 AM - 10 PM.

My husband and I will be traveling to Austin the week of July 4th. He has recently had to start using oxygen, and need to know of things to to that don't require too much walking. (He is 52 and we still like to have a good time)
We visited Austin a couple of years ago and had great time, but this time it will be more restricted. Where are the most photographic sites, or drives close around Austin? Where are the best sunsets captured?
Also, what are some 2 room (living and bedroom) suites in North Austin?
Thanks for your help.
A lot of Austin is walking, but you can do a few drives.
If you like museums, you can do the LBJ Library (free) and the state history museum, which is mostly a video "The Story of Texas" (or something to that effect).
You can drive through Downtown, of course. Also along South Congress ("SoCo").
Viewing the bats leaving the Congress Street Bridge doesn't require much walking.
One of the best sunset spots is above Lake Travis at The Oasis. They have a huge patio set up for it. There's also Mount Bonnell, which overlooks Lake Austin, although that will require a bit of uphill walking to get to, but I believe that there are handicap spots closer to the top.
There is a free shuttle which runs all over Austin hitting the highlights of the city. It's called the Dillo and you can find more information about it through this link.

I would also highly recommend the Austin Duck Tours which takes you around a narrated trip through downtown Austin, and out to Lake Austin where you put the all terrain vehicle in the water for a nice view of the lake. Mixes history with adventure and you never have to leave your seat!
