Jazz Club and restaurant

by GUYON

I am looking for a Jazz Club on 6th street (or nearby) which is also a restaurant. Could you give me a good spot ?

There is a place called Jazz Kitchen at 212 E. 6th Street, the number is 479-0474, it is right in the heart of 6th street, I have never been to this place, but it looks to be very popular. If you want Jazz in the morning and you will be here on a Sunday, a great spot to go is Austin Java for brunch and music, they are located at 1608 Barton Springs Road, 482-9450, the jazz goes from 11am-2pm on Sundays. Another good spot for jazz is the Elephant Room around 4th and Congress, but I don't think they serve food. Have fun!

The Jazz Garden seems to be not far from our hotel.

Cannons on Capitol Grounds

by Stephen-KarenConn

Five Historic Cannons are displayed beside the Great Walk on the Texas State Capitol grounds. Two 24-pounder howitzer cannons were presented by Major General Thomas Jefferson Chambers to the Republic of Texas in 1836. Two 12-pounder light field guns, cast in bronze, were displayed on the south lawn in 1864, near the end of the War Between the States, and were acquired "to maintain order." The fifth cannon is of wrought iron and dates to 1865. All of the cannons are original except for their wooden casings, which have been replaced with more durable metal.

You know you're in Texas, when the college football stadium can seat maybe 60000 people. Obviously, Texas college football is very popular, and if you're visiting Austin you might want to give it a try!

Enchanted Rock.
I call it 'the Texan Ayers Rock'
A strange geological rocks formation in the middle of a forest, where nobody would expect it. Some people climb it with sophisticated equipment, but you can also just walk on top of it.

That sort of toys, yes.

by virtualling about Wonko's Toys & Games

Toys, they are versatile and have many uses. Think about the endless possibilities of what you can do with them. Are they only good for kept in the unopened boxes and bubble wraps? OK, I hear you toys and comic collectors scoffing already. But hey, I'd say the Spawn figurines and Fantastic Four comics can be collaborated into your home decor. WHY NOT? That's timeless. Home decals, wall sconces are kinda over used by now, don't you think?

Wonko's is packed with toys, comics, trading cards and such. There's a spot at the back of the store for you cards buff to hang out and do your thing. The guy at the counter is not overly friendly, which is fine by me. One could easily spend a while just browsing at the items and check out the items to be traded in. The website allows you to check the current and upcoming stocks too if you wanna do that.

Store hours:
Sunday - Monday, 11am - 6pm
Tuesday - Saturday, 11am - 8pm

Now, where should I place the AVP figures?
