Living in Bedford
Living in Bedford is great if you do alot of traveling. DFW entrances, both north and south, are within 5 miles from anywhere in Bedford. There is a mixture of one to two family homes, townhouses, and apartments. There are also major highways running along/through Bedford. I only have to drive one block to get on a highway. There are many stores, fitness facilities, pedestrian paths, major hospital, and restaurants close by. One thing keeping me in Texas currently is there is no income tax to date!
Until 2005, Bedford had some farmland. The two lone cattle were the last ones to remain on the property. The property was cleared of the trees and scrub and sold to developers because one side borders highway 121. These two cows got to know us because we would bring them vegetable and fruit scraps. When we showed up in the street they would come a running and moo'ing.
14 January 2007 ice storm!
"This was our second one this season!"
Luckily I start at 0700 every morning so I avoid most traffic. Growing up in Massachuseets and learning to drive on snow, I adapted to driving on ice very quickly. Most people here slow down or stop before going up a hill in ice. What are they thinking? This was at 0800 in the morning. You can see the ice on the pavement and grass.
