I stayed in Brownsville which is right on the border with Mexico.

The American side was very well developed and the Mexican side was very third world.....a lot of poverty....amazing difference just across a bridge! But this was in 1982 so will no doubt be very different now.

Went to South Pardre Island and swam in The Gulf of Mexico.

Very nice beach !!!!!
