Abalone shores: Abalone Shores best beach cottage
I love going to Crystal Beach during the off season. The weather is so perfect and the beaches are relatively empty. I stayed at Abalone Shores this past April and it was wonderful. It is a new beachfront cottage. Every thing is new and so pretty. I'll be going back again this October and can hardly wait.
Unique Quality: Brand new, modern appliances, flat screen Hi-def TV's for those rainy days. Great deck so I can see the kids on the beach with out having to go down there with them.

My favorite lodging on Boliver...
My favorite lodging on Boliver is my house...but there are lots of rental homes - check out Swedes - I see signs for them on a large number of rental beach houses. There are also a couple of B&Bs on Boliver. There are no Hotels, there are several Motels.

Renting a house on Crystal...
Renting a house on Crystal beach is a MUST! Not only is it cheaper than a hotel in Galveston, but you are RIGHT ON THE BEACH! In the off season you can get a cool house for as low as $200 for the WHOLE WEEKEND! These houses come complete with everything. Galveston is just a car ferry ride away. We always rent through Swede's realty, and we have never been let down. I have been there at least 50 times in the last 10 years. We love it!
