Antlers Inn Cuero Texas: Hit and Miss
Well lets start off with why i like it. First off, the rooms are descent, good location (right next to Wal Mart) and the owners are very nice and do their best to try to accomodate you. A/C blows very cold and beds are quite comfortable for a good nites sleep. Now with the bad. We stayed in room #206. The tv(UpGrade) is a lil outdated which would explain some of the other things that need upgrading. The shower works fine, no problem there except when you turn it on, you can see water pouring out from inside the wall above the shower. Obviously, there are leaking pipes on the inside of the wall (UpGrade). Next up is the toilet, no prob there except when you sit on it, best not to move around, its loose like a roller coaster(UpGrade). Then lastly but most importantly to me, the "WiFi Free Internet" that is misrepresented that they offer with all of their rooms. They are supposed to have two modems to access the internet. One for each end of the building. Room 206 is on the far end. You will not be able to get ANY WiFi service in that room "WiFi UpGrade seriously needed". They should say, we offer WiFi for just the rooms we have that are near to the modems, not ALL of them. Now they were kind enough to offer to me to go in their lobby and use the WiFi there on my own laptop. However, who wants to after working a 12 hour day, go downstairs and sit in a little small lobby to get online then have to walk outside and smoke a cigarette then go back inside. I dont know about other people but i want to lay down in bed, turn the tv on, access the internet and smoke a cig all while laying on my back. At 100+ dollars a nite, i should be allowed to do that. What i would like would be to take 1k of that 30k or so a month the owner is making and put a decent WiFi system in so ALL your rooms could have internet access and that they would not be getting cheated on the amount of money they are paying for a room with Supposed WiFi.

Antlers Inn: A motel possibility for you
Never stayed there, just wanted to let you know it exists.
However, as I look at the photo, I notice that there are no cars around, and there seems to be a note taped to the front door. Maybe they aren't even in business. I suggest Googling the place and see what you get.
Well, it looks nice from the outside anyway.

Wildflower Inn & RV Park: Wildflower
This is definitely not a high end hotel, but, it is clean, the rooms are large, and the owners very friendly and willing to go out of their way to accomodate all your needs. It is an older motel, so it still has connecting rooms available. The grounds are neat, clean and well-kept.
There is a playground for the kids, fort, swing set, trampoline, and a decent pool. The elbow room is the thing I like best. Since I live on the road in motel rooms, any time I am not cramped, even with the office set up, is very much appreciated!
