Hotel St. Germain is one of those little jewels that seem to gather praise from many different sources. Zagat Survey of Hotels and Resorts rated it as "One of America's Top Hotels", while Town and Country Magazine described it as having "The Most Romantic Hotel Suite".
My husband and I have been wanting to stop by since we moved to the Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex over a year ago. We did just that on a recent weekend.
There is a definite 'old world ambience' to this special lodging place. The intimate sized dining room was very inviting with crystal chandelier, floral cloths and beautiful tableware. A seven course prix fixe dinner is available for $85 per person on Tuesday-Saturday evenings. Gourmet Magazine designated this the "Most Romantic Restaurant". I wholeheartedly agree!
Hotel St. Germain offers seven beautiful suites from $290-$525 per night. There are two dining rooms and a courtyard with fountain that is surrounded by vine-covered walls. We enjoyed a glass of Pinot Grigio in this quiet outside corner of the hotel.
