The Hyatt

What better place to stay than in the center of it All. The Hyatt offers great food and a great place to stay. You can even dine in the top of the Hyatt Ball.

Hyatt Regency

Unique Quality: This hotel has over 1000 rooms. Reunion Tower, which is one of Dallas' landmarks, is 50-stories tall and has a revolving restaurant on the top floor - great view of the city and very good food. Hotel is in a good location and offers great service.

Hyatt Regency Dallas....

US $350/night.
Unique Quality: An amazing hotel with a great view of the city! The 2nd floor of the hotel is beautiful with bars/restaurants surrounding an open courtyard area with a fountain. The conference rooms here are extensive and on the grand side. The pool is on the small side, but they just renovated their workout facilities. Also, they have the Reunion Tower, home of The Dome restaurant/bar.

Wonderful View, Beautiful Hotel
by xteen
I stayed one night, and was truly impressed with the service and views of the hotel. Located in the heart of it all, I was literally minutes or less away from everything in Downtown Dallas - The Arts District, malls, shopping centers, and hot bars.
Unique Quality: I stayed on the 15th floor and had ridiculously beautiful views of the entire city. I did not get to check out the new workout area, but I heard good things about it. I will definitely be staying there again for business.
Directions: Near Commerce St. and S. Industrial Blvd.

Comfortable beds
by Agraichen
Business conferences normally have bad food. This was no exception, but the hotel itself was quite good. The beds were very comfortable and for the most part the rooms quite quiet.
Conference facilities on site were easily accessable and large enough to accomodate much more that our 1500 people.
Unique Quality: comfortable beds....how much better can it get on a business trip.
Revolving restaurant and bar 50 stories in the air providing a fantastic view of Dallas.
Directions: Down town Dallas just off the interstate next to Union Station.

Nice views
by texaslloyd
My family stays at the Hyatt when they are in Dallas. They have always had a good experience here. The views in their rooms have been very nice. Reunion tower and the hotels location to major interstates and downtown is also a plus.

Bad Stay
by A TripAdvisor Member
Just spent five nights at this hotel. Many problems. This is a hotel that hosts about 2000 per night and has a swimming pool that holds about 10 average people. Had to wait until 6 pm to check in. Wait staff at the restaurant was deceptive of prices. House Keeping was slow and left piles of dirty linens in the hall way all night on two of the nights.
Front desk staff was nice but could do nothing about these problems. If offered a free stay at this Hyatt would not take it.
Worst stay I have had in over four years. I now remember why I do not stay at Hyatt.
Hotel was ok, but the City of Dallas itself is Boring.

Stayed at the Hyatt for a week long conference. The lobby was clean and inviting. The front desk staff were very friendly. My room was average size with an average decor. My first problem started when I noticed a wet spot above the abode. It appears the bathroom above mine had a huge leak. The front desk immediately moved me to another room. I had a $50.00 per diem that didn't last me. If you are a three meal a day person like I am, plan on shopping at a market and bringing it back with you to your room. The hotel restaurants were very expensive as well as the close by restaurants. Downtown Dallas was a huge disappointment. Downtown is just a place where people work, but definitely don't play in. At night the city is a ghost town. If you weren't planning on renting a car, you better. The trains are some of the slowest I've ever been on. One major complaint I had with the city of Dallas was the area where JFK was assasinated. Walking by the area (Deeley Park/Square?) you would have never thought that a United States President was shot and killed there. The grassy nole?...wasn't green at all. There isn't any type of memorial set up or even a nice plaque. All I saw were red (X's) on the street. ??I would never ever go back to that city. And I'm a Cowboy fan. Oh yeah, the Texas Stadium tour was the only highlight of my trip. Pretty pathetic right. Good Luck.
Nice to Stay in Town
by TripAdvisor Member pikapptcu
I live in Dallas and don't get to stay at hotels in the area too often. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency July 30-31 for a convention. Be warned this is a very busy hotel if there are conventions or meetings in town. Mary Kay uses this as one of their hotels for the month long convention. Parking can be a hassle, especially valet. I went out to play a round of golf Sunday morning and came back around noon only to wait 45 minutes to have my car parked. This is basically the only negative for the hotel. I was upgraded to an executive room at check-in. The room was plenty big and overlooked downtown. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Be sure to check out Reunion Tower for the view.........not the food. Seemed a little dirty and run down since the last time I went up in 1996. Just go up to grab a drink and look out at the city as you spin around the deck. Hotel is right across from the DART station so jump on and check out the West End or uptown area. Thumbs up for the Hyatt Regency.

New Question...
by Nancye3
So, I arrive at the DFW International Airport and need to get to Hyatt Regency Dallas at Reunion. What is the best way. I have read about the airport shuttle vans,taxi... Which company is best, most affordable, reliable, EASIEST, etc.
Re: New Question...
by Agraichen
Most any are fine although with my recent LAX experience with Super Shuttle I'd avoid them. The Hyatt may actually have it's own shuttle; have you checked with them?
If you've not been to Dallas before, enjoy. It's a great place to visit but keep in mind it takes time to get most anywhere..
Re: New Question...
by pangaeatours
Hello
The Hyatt should have their own airport shuttle so check with them first and if they dont then ask if they have any reccomendations. One of the oldest and most reliable shuttle companies is Super Shuttle. I always use them if i have to and never had a problem with them anywhere in the USA. I also used to live in Dallas. From the airport to the Hyatt is all freeway so it should be a very quick trip depending on rush hour.
