 | Le Meridien Dallas North: Great suites by the galleria

Now it's called "PRAVA Suites" (they used to be the Hilton Suites) and soon it's going to be Le Meridian. GREAT place! Talk about location, they are just accross the street from the Galleria... If you are in Dallas for shopping and dinning (95% of the fun in Dallas) THIS is the place to be! The rooms are BIG! ALL suites, so you have a living room with a desk and a TV plus a microwave & fridge & coffee machine on one side and the spacious bedroom on the other side (with another TV, which is GREAT for a husband and wife team like us! who wants to be watching sports all the time? not the ladies! jejeej) The bathrooms are big as well. The decor is not the best thing in the world, it's just old fashioned, but the good news is that this year (2008) they are going through a gigantic remodelation to change that (they will be a LeMeridian... and I'm sure more expensive) Guest laundry, free shuttle, pool, tiny gym w/cardio AND weight machines (very clean and modern, will be bigger after the remodelations), bar and restaurant. Great buffett breakfast for $12 and half off appetizers everyday for happy hour.

 | Le Meridien Dallas North: Prava Suites by the Galleria

Under new management, this hotel is now called Prava Suites by the Galleria (formerly Hilton Suites Dallas North). Every 2-room suite includes a bedroom and living area with microwave and refrigerator. Priced competitively with nearby hotels, this hotel is a great value for the money because of the extra space. The rooms were also much nicer than I expected for a 3 ½ star hotel. Since mostly business travelers stay at the hotel, it was also very quiet. No noisy kids running around. The hotel offers free high speed wired internet access in the rooms and free wireless internet in the lobby and common areas. Along with a fitness center, there is an indoor pool and whirlpool which opens until 11 pm. Perfect for your aching feet after a long day of sightseeing! Though I didn’t go to either, there is also a restaurant and lounge in the hotel. One of the best things about this hotel is that it is right across the street from the Galleria, a huge upscale mall with a food court, so a large number of shopping and dining options are available immediately. The hotel is also close to the Dallas Tollway so you can easily get where you want in the Dallas area.
all-suite hotel, free high speed internet, indoor pool & whirlpool, fitness center, restaurant, lounge, across the street from Galleria
