I no longer live in Texas so I can't join you but I'll give you a restaurant suggestion. My favorite Tex-Mex is Chuy's. I love the chicka-chicka boom boom with a swirl (sangria and margarita swirled togehter). Yum! Enjoy your trip.

I wish I was there to help you out, i like it Dallas myself, and I used to go there on weekends when I went to school in Norman Oklahoma, nowadays I am in Guatemala. Bob Lansing is a Navajo Potter from Colorado who had a stall at the American Indian Arts Festival. This man's work is amazing and is slowly being recognised for his talent. Aparently in 1984 he gave a fine vase to a friend who decided to enter it on Bob's behalf in the National Arts and Crafts Contest in Washington D.C. The piece won a trophy, ribbon, a $300 check, and a letter from President Regan. He also received airline tickets to attend the award ceremony.
His history is also fascinating .
The bears were Sculpted by J.T. Willaims. They were donated by the Harlan Crow Family on December 25, 1995. I have three other pictures and directions of the Teddy bears in my albums section of my homepage. This park is actualy called Lakeside Park, but we refer to this section as teddy bear park.
The Farmers Market is one of the largest open air markets in the country and still very much where farmers come to sell their produce. The market was established in 1941 and provides, fresh flowers, houseplants and fresh produce as well as Mexican handcrafts and ceramics and furniture.
During the year multi-cultural festivals are held at the market. Unfortunately with the high rates in the area, the market is getting too expensive for a lot of the local merchants to rent and the market may gradually phase out... unless something is done to help the market remain and prosper.
Open Sunday thru Saturday 7am to 6pm Depends on what you are looking to buy.
NOTE: This club is now closed. I have no idea what happened, other than they didn't renew their lease sometime late in 2004.
This a 5-in-1 nightclub that offers a pool hall, country dancing, pop music, and...I'm unsure how to classify the 4th section. Each area has a bar, and the two biggest areas have a dance floor (the country area and pop/hip-hop music area). Every Saturday night is "Ladies Night", and the entire area is sponsored by the local KISS FM station (106.1 FM in Dallas, TX).
If you have a large crowd of young friends, this is the type of club you want to hit up for the night. Other than dress to impress, I'm unsure what to mention.
