The Westin City Center, Dallas, TX - Reviews and Hotel Information

Once in a while, I have business that takes me to downtown Dallas. When these events take place too early in the morning, there are occassions where it makes more sense for me to stay downtown at that hotel, so I can be at the event very early. In the case of the Westin City Center Dallas, I had the opportunity to stay two nights for a conference. The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area, and has great access for people visiting the area with their own vehicle, or using public transit. This hotel has the DART light rail station located just outside its doors, as well as having access to plenty of restaurants and shops in the Plaza of America shopping center that is attached to the hotel. The hotel also has extra space within the shopping center to host events or weddings.

The rooms themselves are the typical luxury you would normally find in a Westin hotel. The Heavenly bed lives up to its name, and the bath and body products are definitely on the high end. There are typically specials available for those staying on weekends, as this is a primarilly a business hotel, but they are still pretty proud of their rates, so this is not one you will steal for cheap very often.

Overall, I would recommend this if your corporate standard is to stay in a Starwood Preferred Hotel.
